CEA BUILDING INDUSTRY LEGISLATIVE PROGRAM
Mission
The mission of the CEA Building Industry Legislative Program is to advance and protect the interests of CEA member firms and the unionized building construction industry with respect to key California legislative issues.
Goals
The goals of the CEA Building Industry Legislative Program are as follows:
Advocacy
Provide legislative advocacy for CEA members and the unionized building construction industry with the California State Legislature and the Governor's office on selected key issues.
Identify and prioritize key issues impacting the industry. Analyze, monitor and provide advocacy for CEA members relative to pertinent legislation sponsored by other groups.
Sponsor and lobby legislation, where necessary, on select pertinent issues.
Awareness
Inform members of major legislative activity on the state level affecting the building industry.
Networking
Establish liaison for CEA with labor, other contractor organizations, and legislative and administrative policy makers.
